Oh, this is a cool thread! First, I was practically in tears that any of mine were mentioned, when I think of all the wonderful photos I see every day. I am going to think, think, think and pick a few of my most outstanding after the kiddies go to bed!

The expression on the kids' faces, as well as Rays look of contentment, as he holds the baguette, really sealed the deal. The lighting was also very nice, as well as the composition of the shot. There was so much that I liked about this shot. So, without further adieu, here it is.

PS: Great idea for the thread, Mike!

Thief! I was going to say this one too! lol

Can't pick two......Ruthie consistently amazes me with her portrait photography....I remember that balloon shot too

8FB

Jim posted this and it captured a bee in flight so much better than I did all summer long...learned a few things from his "how to" as well

landing

This has to be one of the more amazing shots of Niagara Falls that I have seen....when I go, this is what I want.....not a generic pic

Pink Falls

Another shot from Jim.....I love shots like this and Jim managed to capture color, composition, water droplets, and even ones that reflect other foliage.....alot of elements that I like about flower photography come together in this single frame......

Thanks, Patrick! I'm not worthy...but I am very honored....and like Martha, I got all emotional. Martha, I stand corrected: apparently, there ARE tears in photography!! Thank you so much, Patrick! Keep up the excellent work! Your pics from tonight, I think are among your best!

I think I've been influenced by just about everyone here, and I really don't like picking favorites and certainly not favorite friends here.. but two photos really come to mind when I think of changing what I look for and what I actually see when I'm out with the camera.

Sheesh, this guy had a bulging portlio and we could all devote a dozen threads to Steve's wonderful style and his wonderful ability to evoke deep feelings in his images

this one stands out for me, it was around the whole abandoned boats in the marsh era that I began to realize just how much of the magic Beachcomber had in him.. and he continues to hit home runs

To me, this is near perfection

And this simple Photo by David has done more for me when I am out shooting then any other ... it's simple, in plain view and I would have just walk right past it.

I still think of this photo all the time and remind myself to look , cause I never know what will see.

there are sooo many more who've motivated me and inspired me, but i wanted to just chose the most important two .

great idea for a thread !!

I love this idea but can not figure out to get someone else's images here? It is late and I am tired. I also love the one of Ruthie's that Patrick posted. So many to choose from let me think on it and if I can figure out to get them here I will be sure to add some! Great idea for sure!
