Well, it came to me all of a sudden...The second shot that sticks in my brain. I love street photography, and I am also a B&W freak, as many of you know. This is why Mike's (Dizwold) shot of Ray, the homeless guy, and the students came to mind. This photo really captured the emotion of the moment. The expression on the kids' faces, as well as Rays look of contentment, as he holds the baguette, really sealed the deal. The lighting was also very nice, as well as the composition of the shot. There was so much that I liked about this shot. So, without further adieu, here it is.

THUMBS UP 2WO B/W (by Dizwold...aka-Mike)
Dizwold's photo _not mine

PS: Great idea for the thread, Mike!

[QUOTE=plangereis;731621]This shot was not a hard one for me, as I love so many of Steve's photos. This one really stood out for me because of the composition, lighting, and details in the sand and grass. I also like the separation of the foerground from the background via selective focus/ shallow depth of field. My second pick will be tougher as, like Jim said, there are so many photos that I like!

hi paul
steves done so many great images it can be a tough call this is a good choice, i remember this one nice mate

lol!! thankyou my friend that was one of my most enjoyable moments on the streets, well about about 5 minutes actually. The technicalities were not so important just clarity and perspective, just get them in the frame and record it.Those kids made it really, 3 in a million.
cheers

I've loved all the photos I've seen here, all for very different reasons. One that sticks out for me though is this fabulous capture. Very poignant all around, but especially after yesterday's tragic events at Ft Hood.
