I attended a wedding of a dear friend last month. As the location was quite far, the guests (including me) arrived a day ahead of the wedding. I was happy to learn that the couple arranged a tour of the lovely city of Zamboanga for their guests. One of the several stops was Fort Pilar.
Fort Pilar is a 17th century military defence fortress which was built by the Spanish colonizers in 1635 and is located in the pier of Zamboanga City. The same was abandoned and this is now devoted as the city's national museum. The view of the courtyard.. ![]() A deep well of some sort.. ![]() Corridors.. ![]() Some hibiscus and yellow bells tucked in those bricks..

I really like these photos. The first three have great perspective. The third demonstrates interesting patterning. And the last has beautiful brilliant color, especially the lovely hibiscus. Thanks for sharing these.

Those are great shots, and really interesting to see a little bit of the Spanish influence. I love the second one, the angle on the ironwork is great.

Mother nature does a great job but it's the 12" behind the camera where the talent really is. I like this set, the fabled City of Zamboanga, the place they refer to as The City of Flowers. beautifully captured and presented Jennie and my favourite is your composition of the flowers, the hibiscus and yellow bells, both charming and cheerful
