Default Concert - Gotta love a free ticket

I got to go to a Concert that was being held Tuesday Night.
So I tried to take some shots while I was there.
Couldn't let the opportunity pass by.
Here are the best ones I got.
Although the pictures are still a bit grainy because of the zoom, I'm not sure how to deal with that.

Lead Singer of a new band called Vota

I thought the smoke in this shot was really cool plus I got the whole band in the shot.

Guitar player for the Band Barlow girl. Best shot I got of her. (Stupid arm in the way.)

Drummer for the Band Barlow girl.

Yea! Dont you hate that when someone is taking pictures at a concert and in your way when your trying to take pictures at a concert.... lol

Great pictures! I particularly like the smokey one too. I bet concert photos are hard to take without throwing the speedlight on and getting right up front.

HAHA. Yeah Guess I can't be the one to complain but I can say I did take all my pictures without getting in anyone's way.

Yeah I wish I could have gotten closer but I actually was borrowing a friends camera because something was wrong with mine, and I figured expensive camera... mosh pit... um yeah probably better not. HAHA

Thanks I really enjoyed myself.
Used several of the tips I found on here, like not using the flash so that you don't loose the color of the concert lights.

Totally understand that. I tried taking pics at a Theory of a Deadman show once and they told me I couldnt take pics...
I guess camera phones is all they allow now.

Me, too! Female drummers and bass players really make me smile because they're such rocking roles, and ones we normally think of/see males in.

I'm glad you used some of the tips form here! Not using a flash is DEFINITELY important! Don't worry about graininess in the photos - that's really quite ok!

I think you just made me want to post some shots from a couple weeks ago for the musicians I'm going to see again tonight.

Yeah I guess. Everyone had their cameras out there so I'm assuming it wasn't to much of a problem there.

Thanks NetG, just wish it was gone. As far as the flash goes the person I borrowed the camera from used the flash when she took hers so I'm interested to see the comparison. I really do like the natural lighting as far as concerts go, I took one early on with the flash to see the difference and since things were so dimly lighted I didn't like it at all. If you post some of the shots you took I'd love to see them. I love shots of performing musicians.
