Happy Birthday Nicole. These are gorgeous. The 1st shot is marvelous and the 2nd is amazing. Really beautiful. Very inspiring.

Wow, Nicole. These are great macro shots. The droplets are amazingly clear. Nice work. Lastly, happy birthday. I only wish I could spend more money on gear! Take care.

Thanks Cathy Although the droplet is ever so slightly out of focus I just loved that little droplet myself. I tried to recreate it several times, but never looked as good as that one.

Thanks very much. You don't have to spend a lot on gear to try out the technique used here. If you're interested in playing with a ring flash you might want to check out DIYPhotography.net | Photography and Studio Lighting they have several different methods for creating your own ring lights. I tried making one with a CD spindle not that long ago and it did work (not quite this well, but it worked), it just looked a bit mangy lol
