Default Hi, I am new here!

Hallo everyone,
I suppose the title says it all. I just registered today and wanted to introduce myself. I believe my pictures will say all about me... I am very green in photography, learning everything I can, when I can. I wanted to show two pictures I personally like a lot, the second one I changed the background in Photoshop (this is still big magic for me...sigh). I finally learnt how to do it! yay! I will appreciate all the comments! tips, thoughts, critique Happy (very) to be here
Wish you a great day!
Joanna

Hi Joanna... welcome to DPS. These shots are great! The work you did in photoshop in your second shot is wonderful. The black background works very well.
Looking forward to your future posts.

Love that first shot, the textures and detail are awesome Joanna!
And what a handsome animal in the second, well done on the background, I haven't attempted to try that technique yet but would love to learn it.
Can't wait to see more from you

Hi Joanna, welcome to DPS, it's a great place to hang out. I've only been here a few months and love it, the people are very lovely. Your photos are terrific, I love the first one, it lookd fabulous in B&W. And the 2nd is beautiful too, you did great work in PS. I'm on the slow learning curve of photo editing too, PS is still much of a foreign language to me!

Thank you for all the kind words
I have been receiveing newsletters for few months already and I just fell in love with DPS. Great blogs, very knowledgable members of DPS, I learnt so much already and I cannot understand why it took me so long to register! sigh.

I cannot say how difficult it is to learn this program... But I found some help online here and there - I think mstly here and I just introduced curves to myself this week! I played with portraits I took before and adjusted them in PS. I posted few on flickr Flickr: Joanna Jodko's Photostream. I am so excited every time I "discover" and learn something new!!

Nice work, Joanna. I wouldn't know it is the work of a "beginner." Keep up the good work and continue to learn.
