Default Great model shoot on Sunday

I went to what was being billed as a lighting workshop with real models on Sunday. Turned out to be less workshop and more shoot. That didn't bother me because they had the lights available and set up for us. There were 7 different stations -- 5 with lights set up and two using skylights for available light. It was a lot of fun and gave me a chance to work with some models for the first time. Here are some of the shots. There are more on my Flickr page. BTW, the last model was the make-up artist for the shoot. A few models flacked out on the shoot and they recruited her to pose.

Great shots, Rusty! The more model shoots I see done well, the more I want to give it a try! Thanks for sharing the details on these!

Thanks Jim. It was definitely an experience. I was a bit nervous because I just wasn't sure how to give direction to the models. But as the day progressed so did I.

BTW, the first and last shots in the series were done available light. The first one was at a lighted station but there was a large cargo door right next to it and the available light was fantastic. So I took advantage when it wasn't my turn to shoot with the lights at that station. The last shot was lighted by an overhead skylight and a large reflector.

Leona: Thanks. I like it a lot too. It was a fun shoot and great to work with models who know what they are doing.

I appreciate that. Most of the models were from Model Mayhem and I've now joined that site in hopes that I can get some models to work with me for trade. I do have a small home studio (and it's not for funny business) where we could work. We'll see what happens.

Well, the rules say that after two posts from other users I can post some more. So here they are:

I love her eyes
Model with umbrella 2

She was cute and fun. Don't know what I'm going to do with the green screen
Model green screen 1

Another bridal shot with a different model
Model bride with veil

What a concept, a bride on a motorcycle

Excellent job, rusty! The lighting on all of these is spectacular.
