Default My first attempt at water drops

It's rainy today and I thought about going out to try my hand at capturing water drops, but the thought of me soaking my camera and ruining it, over-ruled that idea.

SO, I did the next best thing, I turned on the kitchen faucet just enough to create a steady drip and attempted there. I took a lid from a rubbermaid tote and placed it behind the sink to give a colorful backdrop and started snapping away. Here are the results.

Buster decided he was intrigued by the dripping.

Looks good enough to drink.

Like how I can roll my tongue?

LOL... I love them, so cool and creative! Makes me want to try the same (without the kitty... i don't have one). What lense are you using for these shots?

Thanks for the comments!

I just got a Zuiko Digital 35mm macro lens in from Adorama last week. Hopefully I can score a 50mm macro at a decent price soon, but I've spent enough in the past few months and need to lay off for a bit...

Anyway, I paired the 35mm with my Olympus macro extension tube. I think I could have gotten slightly better shots had I used a tripod, but I didn't feel like dragging them into my kitchen since it's not that big anyway.

Great shots. I love the ones of the cat licking the water drops.
