Default Late Fall in the Garden

Well, my son is sick with H1N1 and I had to get out of the house with my camera for a few minutes, but I couldn't go far. So, I took a few shots in the garden and didn't even realize until I came inside that I could make a nice little series out of it. I really love the color palette, and the only PP I did was a little cropping and sharpening, which always pleases me. Hope you enjoy!

Hi Martha. First let me start by sending huge get well wishes to your son, it is always so hard to see one of your children suffering with any illness.
These are great shots, crisp and clear & lovely bokeh

I hope your son gets well soon. Give him a get well hug from us at DPS!

This IS an excellent series! I love the comp and bokeh! You know, I don't so much worry about composition in the field anymore, because with the hi res sensors any more you can crop to your heart's content, and not lose any resolution. I feel like I'm cheating!!

Very nice series! I told you that you had some great material for a portfolio!! These are no exception!

Thanks, Paula. He's hanging in there! I loved the bokeh I got - it's always such a nice surprise

Funny you say that, because I've been trying to remind myself lately that I can crop images after the fact. I always forget it's a possibility, and never think to crop pictures in PP. But, I'm trying to remember to consider it, since it can help a lot. Or save a shot that might otherwise get tossed.

I adore these kind of shots! You don't need to be a world traveler to get them, right? Awesome, Martha. Wishing speedy recovery to your son, your pics might help him feel better (beauty always puts us in a very positive spirit/place).
