A few more landscapes that I took after my beach portrait session. I've been dying to try sunflares and here are my first attempts, along with a view of the beach I practically grew up on. Great memories here for me! I still have a LOT to learn about and sunflares, but I'm more or less happy with my first attempts. Enjoy, and as always, thanks so much for looking.

Great shots, Susan. I like the comp in the last one. The lifeguard chair with the sun is my fave though!

Nicely captured Mrs H, I do like this set, the second image in particular with the sun just dipping behind the trees, and the lifeguards' chair still just visible in the fading light, this took great timing, quality work as always Susan

I studied up a bit before this shoot and basically when shooting into the sun to get the flare/starburst effect, you need to shoot at a pretty small aperture. The one with the lifeguard chair was shot at F/25, and the one above the trees was at F32. These are almost SOOC, just a few tweaks in brightness and contrast. Thanks again...and welcome back! Quote:
By the way, I love your new profile pic! Quote:
Bowing to the master of beach photography!!!! LOL...thank you so much, Steve.
