I visited a World War II cemetery yesterday to click some shots. The gates of the complex were about to close when I reached there. I requested the guard to give me 10 minutes to click. Clicked 5 shots. Will visit again to have some better pictures.
Posting two of them which were a little better than the others. Please let me know what you like and don't like about these. Also, please share any tips/ technique useful for this kind of photography. Thanks for looking. [IMG] [/IMG][IMG] [/IMG]

Well Shantanu, I really love the first shot best...the lighting really makes this shot for me.
The second one for me, is a bit too symmetrical, but still a good shot.

Hi there, its more about emotion than content for me, both these images are powerful and poignant in their own rights. At this time of year especially these are very special image and I thank you for sharing them.

I love them both! I agree with Patrick...The first one has a sense of reverence for those who have given all, while the second one reminds us of the precision and formality of the military, even at rest. Great captures!

pjflan7, CobraNutt,
Thanks. That was precisely my intent to have a disciplined pattern in the headstones. The color version was serene with nice green grass but I somehow preferred the BW one.
