Hi Jill
The first shot I spotlit the orchid with a small table lamp and used negative exposure compensation (as far as I can remember, was trying all sorts of things!)
The second I just applied a high pass filter from PS Elements, new toy

Very nice set, Paula! I love the absence of a background in the first one. I have yet to master that! I like the last one, too, with the bamboo blinds in the back.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jim, actually the bamboo is a large table mat I had draped over an upturned laundry basket - well we have to be creative with what we've got to hand hey!

Such a gorgeous flower, and lovely captures! I love the softness and dark BG of the first, and the brightness and detail of the second.

Paula, nice shots! Very beautiful flower, my wife has one that is in the process of blooming and I can hardly wait to take some shots of it. Good work here!
