When taking shots like these - you might find it easier to squeeze the shutter as you slowly breath out after holding your breath. People tend to tense up when breath holding - tense all the way to their fingertips - which often results in stabbing at the shutter. When you breath out, a "wave" of relaxation helps you be gentle with the shutter.

That said, breath holding obviously worked for you in this shot - congratulations!
Thanks for the advice, Captain NH. I will work on that as it makes sense to me. Cheers.

Fabulous, all of them! I'm very taken by the 1st especially - so sharp & detailed - I can feel the crispiness of that leaf, it's so cool.

You made a wise choice in going to the close-ups. all of these are interesting and quite well done. I've been in a photgraphic funk lately and you've given me some inspiration, thanks! Like them all, but have to go with the shrooms as well for my favorite.

Glad i could help a bit, Mike. That mushroom shot seems to be taking the lead. I was surprised a little as I love the first one as well, and possibly a little more.

Thanks Steve. I found that this little session woke me up a bit from a rut. I keep forgetting how much beauty there is in the simple things in life, and was looking too much for a great "wide" shot. I am very happy to see you back with us at DPS.
