Default Photographer BEWARE.....

You never know who is watching you...

retreat-noflash

A friend and myself on a night photowalk in the most beautiful setting. I could not resist capturing her as she intently photographed the 'tortoise' she had found. The first is without HER flash, The second I managed to capture HER flash as it fired.

For those that always ask
F-stop: f/3.5
Exposure: 2.5 sec
ISO-200
Aperture: 1.6
No flash
I used a monopod.

ukglyn thank you. We had such fun and yes, her photos were wonderful. The tortoise in question was a statue. She thought she had stumbled on a rare fined! That is why this photo has such meaning.

knixpix, thank you. Some will say my apeture was way to open but that was the intention. I did not want pin point lights but was after a more surreal, soft feel which I hope I managed to achieve.

leonaashlee; thank you. The setting is a place I try go to once a year. It is absolutely beautiful there and a true weekend away for reflection and awesome photo opportunities.

Hayward Taylor; My dear dear friend! Yes it has been a long time. As you know my interest in this site waned a while ago especially after someone I held in great esteem made a comment that showed my just how self centered and heartless he was as a photographer. But, I will pop in from time to time as so many people, like YOU, are truly dear to me. As for capturing her camera flash, that was sheer, dumb luck!

Barb, I have been missing your amazing posts and I immediately opened your post as soon as I saw it. As always, I'm so glad I did. This image is positively beautiful and catching your friend's flash was truly amazing. Please do drop a few posts here a little more often, so we can get to see your work!

This shot turned out great considering the lighting etc. Very sharp! Are you going to post the turtle shot that your friend took? I am curious how it turned out.
