I just LOVE photos like this. Mimimal, simple, evocative. I especially like the long horizonal line. If this makes sense, I really appreciation BW color shots. So close to BW but just a hair short. Nice!

Please relink to the medium size, the limit is now 740px on the long side. Sorry for any confusion.

Thumbs up

Very fine work here Hayward. The verticals and horizontals balance the image nicely, and that little bird drew my attention straight away. I like it very much.

Hi Lindy - yes - it makes sense to me .. this is one of the advantageous of shooting manual ... very lightly overexposed without blowing out the shadows .. thanks for the comments

Hello Aimee - I don't see hardly any posts from you lately ..this is one of my experiment for the Fall/Winter months .. since snow is not that far off, I might as well get use to the white background ... thanks for the comments

I have to agree with what Linda said, Hayward. I also love the simplicity and minimalist feel of this shot, and the way you cropped it (if you did) really works in the long horizontal format, especially with all the branches dissecting that horizontal space. The bird is just the right size in the shot as well, and you can make out enough of the shadows on the trees/ branches to get their form. Very nice!
