Default Skydive

Took this the other day. My friend Cesar Swooping his parachute. Had slight focus issues (i.e. he is not in focus lol) but I still like the shot. Learning to shoot high speed sports is tough!

Swooping is a form of landing. You dive your parachute from various heights and build up as much speed as possible. Then before you hit the ground you level off and glide as far as you can before you lose lift and land. He is traveling at about 50-60 mph in this photo. He then travels a good distance, bleeding off the speed, and lands at about a jogging pace. Sorry I should have explained more.

I just turned 60 and a couple of years ago, my daughter and I went skydiving for the first time...a tandem dive...what fun! We loved it.
Nice shot.

Really nice shot and I like how your friend is parallel to the ground. Great catch!

Welcome to DPS....I love sky diving. My mom and I both jumped a few years back. Would do it every weekend if it wasn't so expensive. Everyone should at least try it. We jumped 11,500 feet. Talk about freedom.
Very nice action shot....I am still learning to stop it also...

The expense is what hurts the sport unfortunately. More people need to get out there and do it though!
