Great work on the second one Bill.I lived in Glasgow for 3 years while I wa at Uni and my Mums from Denniston so I spent a fair amount of my childhood with my Pop and Grandma there but I've never been to Paisley. Looks like i missed out!

Well Nathan, Denniston is on the east side of Glasgow and Paisley is on the west so they are quite far apart, but it`s a small world, my father came from Denniston, he stayed on Cumbernauld Road. Thanks for taking the time to comment, I do appreciate it.

Thanks Art, there is a quietness that you only find in churches, and if it shows in my picture, that makes me happy.

What a Beautiful Place Bill and your captures are just spectacular! So that's what William Wallace looked like. l.o.l not a thing like Mel Gibson.
There is so much history in your part of the world. I enjoy being able to see it through your amazing pictures.
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.

I can't tell you how often your church/cathedral shots starts music in my head. Today is it Non Nobis, Domine, music from Henry VI by Patrick Doyle. It just seems to fill the expanse of the nave with its beautiful vaulted ceiling. I love the cooling gray stone, blue stained glasss windows and warm cherrywood. It looks like a good place to lay aside the cares of the world. Majorie Bruce...what a story.

Is Cumbernauld Road still Denniston? I thought that was way past Aly Park and the golf course. I didn't think there was a posh part of Denniston?

My people are from Garfield Street just away from the city centre off Duke St
