Default An abstract experiment with a colorful tree

I took these shots at .6 sec at f22 with a .9 ND filter and pushed the shutter and made a motion of some kind.

With the 1st, I held the camera still after pushing the shutter initially to freeze the overall structure and then made a quick move to the right

DSC_4741

Same deal here freezing the structure and then a tight quick reverse C movement

DSC_4740

Held this a tad longer and then an abrupt move to the right

DSC_4745

This was a different tree altogether and obviously there was alot more light getting through this tree and basically held the camera initially and then did a quick left corner-right corner sweep

DSC_4757

I have no idea whether you all will like those or not but I thought I would show you the results of playing around while waiting on my wife to get out to the car....

They remind me of watercolor paintings; very interesting. The second one is my favourite.

Very nice! I have to admit I'm laughing because I'm trying to recreate your movements for each image! That takes a lot of creativity to think of trying shooting new ways, and I think it paid off. I like the impressionistic, watercolor effect.

When the sun comes up, you can go find a fuller tree than mine and it should work better....eliminate the white lines from light

Love the movement and colors, reminds me of some pictures I took from the car while it was moving. Funny enough I kept them in order to paint an impressionist painting (that's how I got into photography)

These are so cool! You're very creative Patrick. 2nd and 3rd are my faves - love the watercolor look in the 2nd.
