Default Isn't she pretty ;-)

This butterfly stayed on this plant forever! posing for me ;-) I was able to get some really good shots of her, and I love this one, what a cute little face she has ;-) almost looks furry. Def. go to my flickr site and look at her full view.

This poor guy suffered some damage to his wings, but was still flying ;-)

Great shots Stella, I haven't had much luck with insects in my backyard. Usually I am running away from mosquitoes!

The butterfly shot is really good, especially with the bokeh.

Just curious, how do know she is a "she"?

What Beautiful Macro shots. All 4 are Tac Sharp. I think that's called a shield beetle.
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.

Stella, these are gorgeous and crystal clear. You've done a great job! That is a cute butterfly and I like how its color matches that of the plant it's on.

correrog, Yep, I really appreciate it when they pose for me LOL, she/he was there for about an hour or more? I shot these with the Olympus 510, just the kit lens that came with it...

Thanks Dan, I guess it could be a he, problably is right? Aren't the males more colorful?

Thanks for the id CD, I'll have to look them up.

Thanks Mike, I was really pleased with the plant she/he landed on as well, gave some nice contrast I think.

Ok, this is just freaky, I just went outside, and guess what? He/she is STILL THERE! Same position, same plant, and we're having like 30 mph winds how Strange is that?
