Noob-Trip to R.O.M

Hey Everyone.

New to the site, but I have been lurking for quite a bit. Photography runs in my family, however, while i've always been interested in it I haven't participated on any level above recreational with limited equipment. In fact, the pictures below and the one I added to the critique forum were taken with a pocket Canon Powershot camera. That has changed now as my father (a professional photographer) has let me get my hands on his old Canon Rebel EOS digital her bought a few years back.
