Hello my first post W/ some photos...

Hello all,

I'm new here but have been shadowing the site for awhile. I've got the Canon 5dmkII and a few lenses. Would like to eventually do photography professionally, I've been shooting for about 6 years and studying for about 2 years. I've included a few of my shots. Looking to get some tough critique .

WELCOME to DPS Zechariah. First let me say that if you want tough critique, you must go to the critique section. In SYS, that's exactly what we do...share our shots, be they good or bad. We get to know each other better...and usually the comments are good ones on this forum. We are a friendly and wonderfully close community on this forum and you are welcome here. It is also a good idea to post the actual photos rather than a link as many won't follow a link. This is all new to you as it once was to us ....
I do like your shots and would love to see more so please keep coming back and sharing.

This is my first post/reply in the forums! Just like you I've been following the site for ages, since around April infact, but have only just become a member. I haven't got round to showing off any of my photos yet though!
Look forward to seeing more of your stuff, those helicopter pictures are good. I like the sky in them, was that a polarisng filter you used to get that lovely blue?

Welcome to DPS, Zech! Ditto on what Leona said. Great shots of the helo, though! I think you'll find a nice following here on DPS with aviation shots. Please keep them coming. You can embed them in your post rather than having a link. A quick search of the DPS forums about posting and you'll see how.

No I did all the effects in post (*Photoshop CS3 & Tiffian DFX)
Most of The photos were taken with a 70-200mm lens and a few with a 35-(60mm?) I think.
I'm going to post a before-after in awhile, check it out.
