Default The Headless Mooseman

Headless Mooseman Pumpkin
I submitted this image for the "What Would You Do # 116" challenge.
In honor of the upcoming Holiday, (my favorite).
For this image I used GIMP. First, I selected the moose from the back legs forward. I then copied and pasted them onto a new "Blank" image at the same size as the original. Then I rotated the form until I was satisfied with the angle. Next I went back to the original and selected the hind legs. I copied these onto the new image and moved the layer into position. I then selected the forlegs from the knees down and rotated them into position. Once I was satisfied with the rearing moose, I blacked the image by adjusting the contrast. Once the image was black, I painted in the horseman in black, and made the moose head look meaner, (freehand). I then selected the black with the "Magic wand" selection tool. Then bucket fill with yellow. I then changed the white background to transparent using the color to alpha tool. Next, I went online to find a nice pumpkin picture to paste my image onto. Once the image was pasted, I used the same color of yellow to hand paint the lettering. This was alot of fun.

Thanks, Angelb. It took over 2 hours to finish this. It would have been quicker to just freehand the entire edit, but I need to keep up on my GIMP practice. I'm glad you liked the results.
