Lightbulb Grim Reaper - Halloween

I went out to Halloween USA to get a new costume this year for Halloween, my favorite holiday of the year. I bough this sweet mask and a matching ragged top. I should have tried the top of first because it only went down to my belt line but the picture of the top on the package showed it going all the way to the bottom. Maybe someone stole the bottom out of the package because it was open. It was the only one left in the store and they don't offer returns or exchanges. I will have to find something ragged and black to cover my legs.

I went to the WCC Studio on Saturday and actually got to use the strobes this time around which was awesome. I have a ton of ideas for this costume once I get my bottom half done and get a real sickle I'll make creepy images in the forest at night with some strobes. I have a fog machine as well but I need to figure out a way to run the fog machine outside for cheep. It's 400 watts does anyone have any suggestions on how I can run this fog machine with out access to power? I can use smoke bombs as well but a fog machine would be preferred.

It's really hard for me to select one for the spooky & scary assignment going on this week. I have so many to choose from, I also have a lot yet to be processed at home.

Nice costume! As for the fog, you can use a DC to AC power inverter to run your fog machine off of the cigarette lighter in your vehicle. One that can handle 400 watts, may be pricey, but if you ask around (hunters, outdoorsmen and contractors), you may be able to borrow one. If you want the fog to lay at ground level, you'll have to use a "Chiller". It's basically an old cooler with some dry ice in it. You drill a hole and attach a hose from your fog machine into the cooler about 3 inches up from the bottom. The output hose comes out directly across from it about 1 inch down from the top of the cooler. If you keep the lid closed, the dry ice should last for 3-4 hours. I hope to get to see the shots you come up with.

Great set of shots, really anticipating seeing the results of a forest shoot. Like someone else said borrow an inverter or a small generator for your power, I guess you're too far away to borrow mine. You also can rent a small portable generator for next to nothing, at least here, and use that.

Awesome idea with the dry ice I'll give that a shot as well. I'm going to see if I can find a place that rents small generators. The area where I want to go does not have access where I can park a car close enough to where the shoot will be to run the fog machine off my car. I could try brining a car battery out there and the inverter but I'm not sure how long that battery would be good for before it runs out of juice.
