Hi, These pictures are taken from Kalamunda in the hills surrounding Perth, Western Australia, If you look close Perth city is in the background. I found taking these pictures quite hard. For one i couldn't decide if the blackboys or (grass trees) should be in Silhouette or in correct exposure, but i have gone for a half half. Also the City is very far away from where i was and it would have been nice for it to have stood out more, but zooming in mde the foreground too large in the frame, and the air at the moment is hazy.
Maybe a graduated nd filter would have worked well here. It will be interesting to hear your thoughts Thanks first pic Iso 100 f16 / 30 secs focal lengh 22mm WB Cloudy Spot metering flash, did not fire 2nd pic iso 100 f11 / 30 secs focal lengh 26mm spot metering WB Auto flash, return light compulsory mode |

The first shot is my fave, I prefer it in landscape. The colouring is stunning with the orange and blue in the sky and the city lights twinkling. The blackboys are okay they add another interest to the scene. Great captures. TFS

Nice shots, personally I would have used a bit of off camera flash, just a little punch onto the black boys.
