I agree, and me too. I would love to get to the USA to take some photos... hitch a ride on the back of a train (without getting caught...) and just snap away. But am doing that in NZ in Jan from Auckland to Wellington then back again... legally though! LOL.

Nice pics. Your pic with the lake with the big monument at the end reminds me of Bastion Point in Auckland. Perhaps I will post these sometime.

Thanks for sharing.

Prashanths,

Very nice shots. I particularly like the contrast in the Washington Monument shot. Did you get to any of the Smithsonians? They're my favorite since they're all free.

That's the Washington Monument and the reflecting pool.

Thanks. Nice idea. I want to visit NZ and Australia some time in the future. I bet there are lots of photo opportunities there. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks. I couldn't have missed the Smithsonian. Given the time limitations, I managed to see only three of the museums - The Air & Space museum, The Natural history museum and the American History museum. Amazing places. Their collections are immense and mesmerizing. I am working through a backlog of photos that I took inside the Smithsonian. Hope to get them out soon.

Cheers,
P
