I think the first two are the more successful at the fake tilt-shift effect. I particularly like the marina (probably at least in part because I don't think I've seen boats in a fake tilt-shift before).

Nice job!

How did you create these? You shoot with a Nikon and a Canon - They were taken with a Kodak? Was it a fake TS done in PS?

The first two pics were taken by a point and shoot a few months ago before I got my Canon/Nikon but since they had the angle I was looking for, I used them to TS fake on Gimp.

The 3rd attempt, well the original shot was a little blurry (left tripod at home) so I figured that if I use the TS fake I could put more emphasis on the subject and by comparison make it look less blurry.

miniature faking works best with overhead shots, or shots where the distance from the camera is associated with position in the frame (i.e., follows the gradient mask you use). For shots like the third one, you're probably better off going with a depth mask, rather than a straight gradient mask. More work, though.

Remember, the blur is faking the narrow DoF you get with macro shots. That's why everything looks tiny.

It was a LOT more work lol but I search and learned how to do it, here is the final result:
