Newbie Shots!

Hey Everyone! I'm new to both DPS and photography. Been shooting for about 2 weeks now. Here's two shots to show you what my style will be sort of like as a photographer. (They're from my first "roll of film"). My focus is Urban Decay. I love the idea of ugly beauty. The town I live in isn't exactly well kept, so I have plenty of different places to photograph.



And here's the second. I find it looks way better on a black background.



I know this isn't everyones style...but I would appreciate any comments. Tell me if you like it, tell me if yah don't. hehe

WELCOME to DPS
It's not my style per se, but I really like your second shot a lot. Even though a certain style may not be ours, we are all here to appreciate photography as an art and a hobby and therefore can appreciate that even if the subject may not be our choice. So post whatever you like.

Thanks a a lot everyone! Thanks especially to leonaashlee. Part of my trepidation about registering here was that I haven't really seen any photo's like my own around. But this does seem like a really great community and having support when starting a new hobby or what have you, really helps out.
