Default Having to work a lot harder to get a shot

Getting any decent shots out in the fields is getting harder each day as winter approaches so I am having to be a little more choosy and creative, looking at some things I normally pass over. This 1st is where some fast fading wildflowers encroached upon a berry bush

A shot of a thistle which still contains some of its seedling parachutes

Was shocked to see a ladybug! a tougher shot with no green contrasting foliage and no blue sky.....just a backlit subject on a totally gray cloudy day. Had to use a flash to light up this side so you could see the ladybug at all!

Well, you are still finding some interesting shots. I love the seedling in the spider web and the lady bug.

Wow Patrick these are great. Fab dof and the ladybug is clear and sharp, you did a great job at capturing it against a gray background.

hi pj
i reckon you did just great. I love the shot with the lady bird and the floating seed, I suppose it does get more challenging as the year goes on but its all good experience.
thanks for sharing

Hi Angella, The first shot I took was way too dark and I think I laughed at myself for not thinking that would happen....When you have a ladybug around this late in the year, you hang around until you get it right! Fortunately, I got it the 2nd time around and then off I went in search of other things....thanks for dropping by
