Annie, your comments made my day.
Kathmandu is indeed a very spiritual place. Being a Christian gave me another perspective about devotion (hence the monk climbing up the steep and numerous steps...) The Buddha statue was selling in a shop and the shop window and the reflection of the stupa just made the perfect shot. About the girl, she was 'serving' in the small alter just below the stupa. I find it refreshing scene, especially when I come from an Asian society where the buddha is prayed to as well. |

![]() The above shot is taken with a compact camera. No post processing was done and it was raining pretty heavily. Despite the weather, they still ferry people to and fro an island in the middle of Phewa Lake in Pokhara. ![]() A social commentary shot. The mirror with frames are like showing the two strata of society in nepal the monks and the common people yet sharing the same street. ![]() This shot is one of my favourites. A row of puppets and frames and frames of colourful thankal drawings. Just brings out the vibrancy in the nepalese culture. ![]() The people are praying and the colour is just magnificent with the bright poster colour red and yellow |
