Default Mountain Dew or Lichen or Not

A few shots from my trip with our school's grade 7's at the top of Grouse mountain. We all ended up doing the Grouse grind, which, if you have not heard of it, is a very steep trail that winds up to the top of the mountain from the parking lot. We all got wet, and a lot of the kids were cursing because of the endurance that is demanded, but they looked like a million dollars in terms of their satisfaction of making it. I know that i have been posting a lot of B&W lately, so I figured I would leave these in colour as the range was nice.

Absolutely beautiful captures Paul. I have always enjoyed the mountains on wet or damp days. The water just brings out such a fresh smell. The diffused light is specatcular for getting nice photos and you nailed these.

Thanks FoG. I had fun with this shot and did not even realize the needles were in the shot until I imported these into my computer.

Thanks Fred. You are definitely right about the fresh smell. Very refreshing. especially if you grew up in the city, like me. It was extremely socked in by clouds so, yes, this created the diffued lightnig which was awesome.
