Day 2 of our vacation took us to the Biltmore Mansion in Asheville, NC. This picture just does not do it justice. It is truly magnificent, and if you ever have a chance to go, it is well worth it. This is the largest private home in the US. Pictures are not allowed to be taken inside the house, but everywhere else is allowed. These are a few of the better ones. it was also rainy and very cold....

They have spectacular gardens - here a couple of flowers.

And a little fall foliage on the way to their winery.... again - color is not spectacular

Oh how I wish that was my house. I can just see myself living there.... no bags doing the cleaning though LOL!!

Great shots. Nice architecture, and I just simply love the water drops on that bud.

Very nice...Biltmore is amazing and I really love the waterdrops. What is it with the colors this year? I was afraid we were going to get "browned" out this year with all the rain...but I have hope...a few trees are finally turning...but it's raining again!

The flowers were beautiful - just like the rest of the estate...
