Hi all,
This is my 1st posting here. Just got back from a 2 week holiday in Croatia and Montenegro. Here are a few of my favorite subject and 1 of the Plitvice Lakes Nat. Park in Croatia. Thank you DPS for all your great tips! Paul PA090460.jpg The lakes and waterfalls were absolutely amazing. PA100465.jpg P9290152.jpg Casper2.jpg Just before this photo I had switch my camera to macro mode for some flower pics. I forgot to change it back until just before this pic. But the others looked interesting, so I left it the way it was for 1 more. We were at a monastery, in Montenegro, built in the side of a mountain. I found my angel! |

Plitvice Lakes in the first shot looks like a landscape photographer's paradise - the contrasting colours of the rock and vegetation looks great. Looks like it would be a bit glarey down there in the middle of they day!
The last shot almost has a high key look to it - you might like to try selectively lightening the background of the hillside to lose most of the contrast (don't touch the face though - that looks perfect to me). You'll end up with a very angellic, romantic image!

Thank you.
Here are some more of the lakes and waterfalls. Plitvice Lakes NP is about a 6 or 8 hour drive, north-ish, from Dubrovnik. It's closer to Zagreb, but down toward the coast. It's beautiful, the sound is amazing, and the water is the color of the sky. 5 1/2 hour walk around the lakes. |
