Hi all,
This is my 1st posting here.
Just got back from a 2 week holiday in Croatia and Montenegro.
Here are a few of my favorite subject and 1 of the Plitvice Lakes Nat. Park in Croatia.
Thank you DPS for all your great tips!
Paul

The lakes and waterfalls were absolutely amazing.

Just before this photo I had switch my camera to macro mode for some flower pics.
I forgot to change it back until just before this pic. But the others looked interesting,
so I left it the way it was for 1 more. We were at a monastery, in Montenegro,
built in the side of a mountain.
I found my angel!

Plitvice Lakes in the first shot looks like a landscape photographer's paradise - the contrasting colours of the rock and vegetation looks great. Looks like it would be a bit glarey down there in the middle of they day!

The last shot almost has a high key look to it - you might like to try selectively lightening the background of the hillside to lose most of the contrast (don't touch the face though - that looks perfect to me).

You'll end up with a very angellic, romantic image!

In three out of four photos i see a common problem......CLARITY, with the exeption of the 2nd one, the 2nd needs a better composition ...

Thank you.
Here are some more of the lakes and waterfalls.
Plitvice Lakes NP is about a 6 or 8 hour drive, north-ish, from Dubrovnik.
It's closer to Zagreb, but down toward the coast.
It's beautiful, the sound is amazing, and the water is the color of the sky.
5 1/2 hour walk around the lakes.
