Default Smoky Mountain Sunset

Okay - so, this wasn't taken with a digital camera but it had to scanned which makes it digital enough.

From my Flickr page:
"I dug up some old slides and I finally got them back from ScanCafe. This is a shot from Clingman's Dome in Smoky Mountain National Park. This was shot in my old Nikon N70 with Fuji Velvia 50"

Smoky Mountain Sunset

Thanks for looking.

That is an awesome photo, I love how well defined and even the change of lighting is from layer to layer in the mountains.

Thanks - I think the definition between the layers helps the image

Glad to hear you guys like the layers - I wasn't sure if I should tweak the exposure to change it up a little

Sweet mercy, what a shot! Digital or not!!!

Man, Tennessee never looked like that when I lived in Memphis, that's for sure! Thanks for sharing.

Jim

PS...I used to love shooting Fuji iso 50 slide back in the day with my old F3 and FE2.

Thanks Jim - when did you live in Memphis? That's where I am now...it's a small world. Memphis is about ~400 miles from the Smokies but it might as well be across the globe. I had a friend turn me on to the Smokies years ago and I did a lot of traveling over there before kids and the wife and I still love it.

Thanks for the comment and I even found my old N70 and I'm going to order some Velvia (did I say that here?) sometime soon.

OK, uh yeah...all I can say is that's a freakin' amazing shot! That's absolutely stunning, the colors are out of control.
