Default Stormy Field

Here's a shot from a couple of weeks back of a field near to where I live.

It's not HDR but I have adjusted it in lightroom to give it more impact, the original was slightly underexposed. I actually think I may have overdone this one, I find it a little surreal but there's just something I like about it.

Field

ISO: 100
Exposure: 1/100 @ f/11
Focal: 24mm

The large version on flickr shows more detail.

Cracking shot! Love its colors and composition. Fabulous PP effect too.

Cool shot, Cheeze! I like the non-HDR treatment. I also have lightroom and would be interested to know how to achieve this effect. I haven't had much luck with Photomatix generating any HDR that I like.

Thanks.

Jim

PS..I think I figured it out. Thanks.

I'll find the settings I used, I think I used a preset too.

That's the RAW image, untouched. I don't have a grad filter (yet).

Ok, after adjusting the exposure, white balance etc I used 3 presets:

1) Matt's Dramatic Sky Level 3
2) Matt's Grad Filter -1 Horizontal Top Third
3) EFF Dragan 3

In that order.

The first two I got from the lightroomkillertips site and the last one was off Adobe Exchange. I've not posted links as I'm not sure if that's against the rules here.

After that I then adjusted the vignette, the vibrance and clarity as well as a bit of fine tuning of other settings until I was happy.

Hope that helps.

It might be a little surreal, but I really like how your PP has brought out the sky.
