Default fig1 (of a fig!)

Even if the focus isn't quite there, I have to get a gold star for funniest photo title surely? Oh my sides are aching

I've never felt the urge to try a lot of macro stuff, apart from grabbing the odd shot of flowers when out walking, but this was my first time properly setting up a background, playing with lighting, etc... and I have to say I have surprised myself by enjoying it!

A few minor tweaks in Photoshop to get the mood just as I wanted it

'fig1'

I hope this means my photography mojo's properly back and I can start to join in this forum properly!

I like the choice of background colour and the way it contrasts with the inside of the fruit.

I love it! Makes me hungry. I love figs, and when I was a child on the Texas Gulf of Mexico coast, there were fig trees everywhere. Couldn't get enough of them! Thanks for bringing back memories.

Very nice photo, the background compliments the fruit nicely

I love the background color you chose - it really makes the outline of the fig stand out. Nice work!

I've never eaten a fig before, and now I want one.
Very delicious photograph.
