Default Waimangu volcanic valley Rotorua NZ

Here are some shots I took while visiting the Waimangu volcanic valley.

The multi-colours of these terraces are caused from the varying tempertures.

Waimangu

Inferno Crater. White silica lays beneath and around the edge of this stunning pale blue jewel.

Inferno Crater Lake

Green algae colours this river bed as the small geyser feeds water into it.

Waimangu

Carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulphide gas bubbling up gives the appearance of boiling water.

Waimangu

Awesome shots Angela, and so true to colour. These are worthy of any tourism brochure. TFS
