Default First shots with my new Nikkor 85 f/1.4

...so I just got back from my son's soccer practice. My friend's daughter allowed me to take a few pics of her. I just added this lens to my arsenal of gear I'm not good enough to own yet...but hey....I'm working on it!! Hope you like!

The wind was blowing just enough to provide the drama in her hair!

This one was actually the very first picture I took with this new lens. I missed the focus on her face, but upon reflection, it highlights her hair, and her pink dress, so I thought I'd capitalize on it.
Mom and Ella

Thanks for looking!

Jim

Jim, those are nice shots. I think I like the fourth one the best. A very happy accident! Enjoy that new lens!! It would look great on Nikki Sue Nikon.

Great set of pics Jim. All 4 are different and special in their own way. I love the third one.

Beautiful set of portraits. Nice lens! The muted colors in the first one are such a nice contrast to the warm light in the 3rd and 4th. And the last one is brilliant - though I think you're being too humble about it being a "save."

Great set.

Incredible how on that second picture she looks exactly like my younger cousin. For a couple seconds, I thought it was her :P

Thanks, Martha! This is the first set in a while that I'm actually happy with! Thanks for the inspiration to do these! (...from your set with the 200mm outside on the playground)

These are beautiful. The last one is my favorite, a sweet picture of a mother and her child.
