Default Diwali, India

Diwali ( DEEPAVALI ), the festival of lights, is India's most important festival.
It's a time to meet with family and friends, lights lamps ( diyas ), burst crackers, and have a blast.

I took the opportunity to click a few diya snaps and work on my low-light photography skills.

Diwali looks great fun Harsh, and I like your candle pictures. Naked flames are not easy to capture, well done

All I can say is that u need a little bit of patience and practice.. a tripod can at most times be bulky and cumbersome.. I did some crazy exposures without a tripod ( see my lighting shot with 15 sec exposure ) so I feel pretty confident being able to carry out at least 2-3 sec handheld.. However, these are less than a sec, so u can basically try to loosen your body and take multiple shots to get a good one..

A tripod is a good idea ( I recently was gifted one for my bday, having a blast with it ).. However, I clicked these hand-held only..
