Default Who says the 14-24 isn't a portrait lens?

Short story to go with this assignment I was on.

Let me clarify - This isn't my car and the guys name is Tom.

Quote:
The short story: My father purchased the car new from Polar Chev in April of 1992. He was killed on March 13 1993 while serving as a helicopter pilot for the minnesota army national guard. The car sat for ~a year and was sold out of his estate in early 1994. In 2004 (?) when I was an aviation student at SCSU I was waiting in line at the gas station and grabbed an autotrader randomly. Almost the first page I turned to I saw the car. Called the 60 something lady that owned it only to find out she is the one that purchased the car from my fathers estate. I left right then and there to go purchase the car. I wasnt a fan of the 3rd gen but it meant something to me so I had to have it. The car sat in storage for a couple/few years while I finished school. The day I graduated I took the car out and started the project. I actually drove the car to my college graduation. Spent the next 3 years restoring the car. I did it in a way I thought my father would have in 1993 hense the LT1 vs the LS1. I think it was done with class and style but you guys can be the judge when the other pics are posted.

Wow! That's an amazing story! I'll be anxious to see the shots of the car.

Wow, what a story. I love this photo. It has a look of respect and dignity, and holding the flag is the perfect detail. I think you captured this wonderfully. Can't wait to see more!

Glad to see he got the car back in the family and rebuilt it as a tribute to his father. Can't wait to see more shots of the car. Excellent composition, btw, it tells the whole story

Great story, Max! Kind of reminds me of that old David Ball song, "Private Malone." Can't wait to see the pics of the car. I have the 14-24 also...haven't used it for portraits yet, but you have used it masterfully. Thanks for sharing!
