Default Reservoir dam

This is the Dam at Derwent reservoir in Derbyshire, England.

During the Second World War the reservoir was used by pilots of the 617 Squadron for practising the low-level flights needed for Operation Chastise (commonly known as the "Dam Busters" raids), due to its similarity to the German dams.

Very lovely shot...
The dam looks very sharp with nice texture and an amazing background.

Thanks for sharing this shot.

Gorgeous shot, Silverz! As an aviation history buff, I find that very fascinating about the trainging missions. I have heard of Dam Busters, but never knew where it originated. Thanks very much for sharing that little tidbit! Very nice shot!
