Default Tibetan Holy Peak & Milky Way

Hi all,

Apologies for not posting in ages, we've been off in Tibet and over to Mt Kailash on the western plateau. The peak is considered the holiest mountain on earth by about 1 billion people, at least. Being up there and shooting in perfect conditions was just amazing. At 17500 feet the shooting was quite demanding, but I was happy with the results..

Best wishes..

Alister

That is an Amazing Image! It must be very cold up that High. and I imagine that at night is is so dark that the stars look so close you can tough them. You are so Blessed to be able to travel to this wonderful place. My wife and I intend to get to Tibet in the next year or so, but we've been worried about the political situation there as well as the crime we've heard about.
Thanks for sharing this an I'll look forward to more.
Michael.

Excellent long exposure. I'm speechless. I can only contemplate and enjoy.
I wish we could use a larger format to see this image.
Thanks for sharing

Dare I ask again? it's the most expressive photo I've seen that connects the earth to space .. knowing it was you doing it on a hike up such a mountain only adds to this ..
