Default A taster from Chatsworth

We visited Chatsworth House today for the annual sculpture exhibition in the gardens. Lot's of shots to process and show but, for now, here's a few non-sculpture shots to share with you. Hope you like them!

Acer Reflections (by Nathan deGargoyle)

Up at the Grotto Pond the reflections of the acers in their autumn colours was beautiful.

Runing down the hill (by Nathan deGargoyle)

The stream running down the hill now and again runs through these stepped troughs. No idea why but I liked the look of them.

Man made rainbow (by Nathan deGargoyle)

The Emperor Fountain at Chatsworth. Rainwater is collected at the top of the hill and feeds the fountain so it is powered by gravity. That's about as low carbon footprint as you can get! I love the way it makes its own rainbow.

Rolls-Royce Jet Fan (by Nathan deGargoyle)

The fan from a Rolls-Royce jet engine displayed on the Conservative Wall at Chatsworth House

Beautiful Fall colors and reflections, as well as your composition make the 1st shot a favorite. I love the 2nd as well, simple and well composed. I've seen similar arrangements in the mountains here in South Korea; turns out they are mountain run off and the spring water is pure and cool to drink.
Thanks for sharing these
Michael

Chatsworth House gardens looking good in the autumn, I like the set especially the first image with its shrubs, trees and grasses, vivid colours and reflections in the mirror flat water

I also find the reflected colors somewhat of a gem. I really like the fountain as well! The rainbow curve echoes the water's curve very well. It's quite dynamic and something you don't really see everyday! Good shots overall!
