Default thanks Hayward

I think that's the exact kinda reaction I needed right about now because I'm getting so little feedback on my site. It's difficult to gauge whether people are enjoying my photos or not.

thanks again!

Pius

that's a lovely set of images.....the lighting is dramatic.....your subjects are crisp....and the poses are well framed.....

when i visited your site to see if i could insert the images here instead of just links, i saw that you use flickr......i would love to see you post them from there so that even the laziest of members could view them.......

thanks for sharing....

Peeperita, thanks for the feedback. I love flickr but the problem is, and feel free to disagree, that I think the photo has to be viewed in a really large size for intended effect. I felt like to view in the flickr size, it loses a lot of its umph, particularly because I've sharpened for that large output size, not the small flickr thumbnail size. I decided to link a large size instead because I wanted to respect the posting rules that said 800px should be the largest edge and my photo clearly violates that.

oi, wait, I just noticed you're a moderator so I need not tell you of the rules I might have violated. Anyway, your reaction to my explanation is most welcome. sorry if this has been covered in the past but i'm just starting to learn the ropes.

oh and also, does anyone know if there's a way to subscribe to an RSS feed of the "share your shots" forum? I'm really liking the scene here.

oh, shoot, you're just fine....

you posted the way you posted for a reason and i can respect that.....it's just that you said that you wanted a little feedback and that you weren't getting that at your travel guide page......sometimes, our members will skip on by a text link and that's why i suggested using flickr......sure, you have to respect the 800ppi limit here.......but, when you post an embedded image that links back to your flickr, folks like me who want to see every glorious detail will click on the larger size there to study your work.....

Very nice shot, TG! Welcome to DPS! You used the black background perfectly. She stands out very nicely! Very well composed, and excellent use of the lighting to achieve a very dramatic effect. Thanks for sharing.
