Default Glassy Winged butterfly

I took this at a butterfly farm in Belize - I love how the wings look like stained glass windows. Capturing it on this plant rather than on a leaf shows off the butteryfly's delicacy better, I think.

Hello there and if this is your first post, welcome .. glad you waited for it to land on that plant to take its photo .. the wings also have that transparency look to them .. very nice

Nice job! I love the crisp focus on the butterfly. Hayward Taylor was absolutely right about how the butterfly being perched on the plant makes the shot.

According the Flickr this was taken on August 26, 2009 and not posted until October 16, 2009. Why the wait?

I've been going on the website for a while, but just decided to start sharing my photos. No sense in taking them if nobody looks at them! It's great to get feedback - it's the only way to get better.

Welcome to DPS.

That's a really good shot but you will get more response if you post at Flickr's medium size

GLASSY WING 2 (by klwinding)

Which lets us get a better look at it
