Would you like to meet my family? My Tucson family, that is. These are recent photos from an annual event called Tucson Meet Yourself that brings our local and international cultural groups together to celebrate, as one, our diversity. These are not photos to inspire or even inform. They are just candid shots from a family party that I'll be posting over the next few days.
I've chosen to lead with this photo. The dome you see is a landmark. It is our County Courthouse. ![]() The Lowrider community: A Lowrider is typically a classic car featuring a modified hydraulic suspension so that the car can ride as low as possible to the ground. They are also "Low and Slow" ("Bajito y Suavecito") riders, meaning that when out cruising the streets, they are in no hurry. Some on you may remember this song: ![]() And what would a Lowrider be without a pair of fuzzy dice?

Nice shots, Linda! Are those down by the courthouse on Church? I love the fuzzy dice!! I was down in that area yesterday, and saw so many photo opps, but wasn't in picture-taking mode. I'm going to bring my gear down there next week and just camp out taking pics. Maybe have a mexican hot dog at one of the carts! Thanks for sharing!

Gee, Linda! They ought to be hiring you to do their promotional work! Your first one took my breath away. Stunning! And did you paint that sky? It's absolutely perfect.
Low rider is a little higher/ Low rider drives a little slower/ Love the collage, and of course, the dice. Looking forward to the next set....don't make me wait too long...

You always find unique ways of displaying a subject that make the object so unique.
Your the perfect example of my wifes credo "If you change the way you look at things, the thing you look at will change" Great job

Hi Lindy. I love these shots, but then I love car/ car detail shots! I think the first is my fave though. The lighting, exposure, and composition are very striking. TFS.
