Woweee Anne these are so gooood.. The look like abstracts till you look closer. Amazing use of the curves. Great work.

Actually, they are not stairs at all but the railings of the balconies. I shot these looking up with a telephoto lens, so the perspective fools the eye.

It was dark and there was no way my on-camera flash was going to illuminate it, but I fired away. I played around with levels, then applied filters until I liked the effect. The texture is noise from lightening an underexposed photo (really prominent in the second photo, that is why I converted to bw).

I am so happy you all like them... I looked up on a whim and was taken by the soaring heights of the balconies.

Default what to print on

Showed these 2 photos at my photo guild meeting last night and they also loved them, so I am going to put them in the next art show I do. I don't think these will look all that great printed on standard photographic paper, so does anyone have a suggestion for what type paper to print on?
