Default Wooden Shoe

One of my wife's vast collection of knick knacks - I think it's a base for something -

Very nice Hayward. It appears to me that it may have been a template of some sort

Lovely shot, it really shows up the wood.
Could it be a last (used for mending shoes) or a similar device used for stretching shoes? I ask, becuase I have a "shoe stretcher" given to me by a cobbler,

Hayward, I like the nicks and gouges and the patina on this. I wonder what kind of stories it could tell about the shoes that were made or repaired on this. It shows graceful age....kinda like you and me!

Interesting subject Hayward my friend and how well you showed it. This is brilliant and so much lovely detail. Your wife has some nice knick knacks. I love this one Hayward.

Dave.

An interesting subject, Hayward. I like the composition and lighting, and the subtle reflection on the table/ counter surface. I agree that this is most likely a shoe stretcher for leather shoes after they get damp. My cousin (by marriage) has a more modern version of the same thing.

Hi Hayward

Very interesting shot my friend, I love how the grain of the wood shows right through. Your work is an inspiration as always buddy.
