Angella, the two words that pop into my mind as I look at your photos are "pure joy". You, for one, are glowing in all the shots that include you and everyone's smile is so genuinely happy. The lions, especially the one splayed on his back is just great! Lovely photos, all.

This looks to have been a very memorable trip Angella, thanks for sharing the Memories with us.
That one with the lions is amazing. I would have been terrified!
Thanks for sharing these

Michael,
NO.....not at all terrifing....Alex told us when we pulled up that if he is attacked to just crawl into the front and drive away, said there will be nothing anyone will be able to do.
He has been working with the lions since he was 8 and said he knows he will be killed by one...and has accepted that. He said it is just alot of reading the body language, checking your area and accepting there are some days you can't do anything with them and you don't push them. In this pic, he was playing "this little piggy" with the toes.
It is very unual to see 2 males in one pride, but these are brothers and so they are accepting of the other, but he doesn't take chances of any kind.

I so badly wanted to reach out and pet one, but I will stick with the babies.

Angella, was this not the trip of a lifetime? I can tell it was from your and your mom's faces. Loving this series of you guys and the people and animals you are meeting.

Even though we went back in October, I am still going thru the 8000+ photos we all took.
Every other photo brings a new memory, or I discover something I didn't see the first 100 times I looked at them. The hardest part is deciding which ones to keep and which ones to toss. I have already discovered I need to go back for more than one reason....I now have a good camera and need to replace some of my other photos....other times I was just in complete shock and totally missed out on a photo....Quick example: my mom with her window completely down in the back seat and a male lion come running up to the car on her side....problem...she was looking out the other side of the car.....I just screamed and totally forgot to take a photo....
