Default Very first self portrait

This was not easy, but after a few attempts I think I got it. I did a little PP to change it the B&W and love the result.

Thank you and Enjoy!!

Thank you very much! I think it's much easier on the other side of the camera.

I really like this shot. It would have been nice if the blow out areas were a little more controlled, but great shot. By the way what are you doing in Japan? I am into making pottery and would love to go there and check out some of the famous potters! Cheers.

Thank you Paul! I'm going to continue to improve on my self portrait shots. I think it's harder being on the other side of the glass. My husband is in the US Navy, and he's stationed here. We have another 2 and a half years left here. We love it! It's awesome that he has a job that gives us this type of opportunity to travel and live abroad.

Hi, Summer. Nice to put a face to your name and it not be one that's obscured behind a camera. I think the bright lighting you've chosen works well, and especially with the B&W

You're gorgeous! Love it for all the reasons already mentioned. I also like the effect that the blown out areas leave.

You remind me a lot of Christina Ricci the movie actress...love the eyes...great shot and you should be proud of your work.

Yes yes, she definitely does...the intensity of the eyes are very similar. Great portrait and nice pose; the arm behind the head is a nice touch.

I do agree with everyone else though about the blown highlights, but that is easily avoidable in future portraits. This is very, VERY good for your first one, well done!
