Smile First ever HDR, Long exposure and a Maple Leaf

Here are some shots that I took recently. I have been struggling with HDR for quite some time now and am really happy with how this turned out to be.

These are some long exposure shots of dreamy water..

And finally a canadian maple leaf..

I love the water shots, and that leaf is great! Nice work!

What software are you using for the HDR? I noticed that the images aren't quite aligned when looking at the full size image. I love HDR, and I find myself shooting almost all my outdoor/nature stuff in bracketed sets so I can process them later! I think I'm addicted to HDR! LOL!

I am using the Photomatix pro for the HDR.

The images were taken hand-held. I didn't have the tripod at that moment and so had to take the shots because of the amazing cloud formation and the sun rays. Atleast, for my first effort.. I really love the picture.

And I agree.. HDR is addicting.. lol..

Been there done that! It's hard to get them just right without a tripod! Yes, it was a GREAT first effort! I love the HDR effects on clouds and sky! Keep em coming!

Beautiful series. Love that maple leaf. The colors of it just pops right off the screen.

I love the 2nd shot, so dreamy, and the Maple leaf is so colorful.
Your HDR isn't too bad, I notice that some of the dandilions in the foreground didn't come out as well as I'm sure you would have liked. HDR is hard, I haven't done one that i'm satisfied with yet.
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.

Haha.. yeah.. the HDR shot isn't perfect for my liking too.. but based on all the previous efforts for HDR that I failed with.. I love this shot.. It's a huge step ahead.. and it kind of motivates me to try again and again.. Thanks for the comments..
